A Trio of Boxers from Clearys Boxing Gym Leamington Spa have reached the finals of the Midlands championships whicj take place at the Triumph Club in Coventry on Sunday 14th November.
Sean Greenfield did not have to throw a punch after his scheduled semi-final opponent failed to turn up for Sundays Semi-final in Coventry.
He is joined in the finals by Ben Daily who boxed extreamely well to take a majority points verdict over S Dalawaczada (Linford Boxing Academy) and Gart Taylor who was in sparkling form to gain a unanimous points decision over the previously unbeaten James Davis (Hall Green ABC).
Unfortunately there was dissapointment for Jamie Hamlin whos title bid was ended by Ottis Treasurer (Studio ABC) who landed some big shots to take a majority points decision.
Meanwhile, Hamlin and Greenfield have been selected to represent Warwickshire in a tournament in Scotland on Friday 5th November. The pair earned their place in the county team on the back of a string of impressive performances.
Mike Cole enhanced his growing reputation and streched his unbeaten record to five fights after gaining a unanimous points decision over D Hussain on an open show in Banbury on Friday night.
